Florida Vaca

If you are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram (and I'm sure most of you are) You saw I was at the beach last week.  This has become a tradition for my friend Allison and I.  This is our third year to go.  We normally stay in Destin, this year we stayed in Fort Walton and it was great.  We were at the Ramada Resort on the beach.  A quarter of a mile from the hotel was a boardwalk with shops and places to eat.  It was fantastic.  I tried extremely hard to stick with my clean eating and working out while I was in Florida.  I would love to say I succeed, but I didn't.  I didn't fail either, if that makes since.  Luckily, I love seafood and I love grilled fish so that helped me a lot.  I will not tell a lie and I did have some fried shrimp at Bubba Gump's and it was well worth it.  I planned on getting up the four days I was there and working out.  That lasted two days.  The first day I was there I got up, went to the gym, ran a mile and did some body weight

Dear 16 Year Old Megan

In honor of Throwback Thursday, let's write a letter to myself. Dear 16 Year Old Megan, Stop being so down on yourself.  You are not fat.  Ten years from now you'll kill to have that body back  You will look by in envy at your skinny face and flabless arms. Please stop wearing overalls, and you really need to buy better shoes.  And stop with the butterfly clips.  The images of your bad clothing choices will haunt you for years to come.  Thank God you did, however, lose the boy jeans and decide to buy your jeans from the right department of the store! Learn how to put on make up, STAT. Study your math, you're not going to be a professional tennis player, you are going to teach small children, and this Common Core math would be less stressful if you actually paid attention! Don't stop Weight Watchers or walking.  You don't think you will, but you're going to gain all that weight back, and then some.  Then you're going to be fat and miserable and st

CMA Fest Weekend

I am a big country music fan.  Plus I'm a big fan of live music.  Also I am a huge fan of Music City.  So it's a no brainer that CMA Fest is one of my favorite things on the planet. I feel in love with CMA Fest last year when I went.  It was amazing. This year I wasn't sure I was getting to go.  I was a little bummed. However, by pure accident I ordered tickets for the Opry to see Carrie Underwood on Friday June 7.  I didn't realize that it was CMA Fest weekend until I tried to book a hotel and there were not hotels in Nashville.  Oops. So I booked a hotel in Brentwood and decided to make the most out of my happy mistake!  So Friday, we rolled into down in a ran storm and found our hotel.  We changed clothes and got ready then headed out to the Opry.  We went to Orpy Mills Mall first, I hit up the Vera Bradley Outlet and got some sweet deals. Then we went to the Opry.  It was a great show, I did miss Little Jimmy Dickens though.  It was Carrie Underwood'

Motivation Monday

This a story of two very different girls. This is the first girl... Hot Springs 2012 Nashville July 2012 CMA Fest June 2012 Nashville 2012 July 2012 Christmas 2012 She is 26 years old and is a third grade teacher.  She enjoys buying shoes, going out to eat, going to musicals and going to Nashville (a lot).  She has a pretty good life.  She drives a sweet red Mustang (with pink interior lights) and has the best friends a girl could want.  She is a funny girl and has big dreams.  She believes your only as old as you feel and she still feels like a kid.  She loves pink and sparkly things.  She never meets a stranger and could talk to anybody. But that is what she wants you to see.  She wants you to see her with a smile on her face and she wants to see all the fun she has.  She doesn't want you to know that inside, she isn't happy.  She isn't satisfied and she is disgusted with herself.  She knows something has got to give.  She is tired of feel

Miss Megan's Must Haves

So.... When I sat down at this computer and felt like blogging, I was in a rather bad mood.  I figure there was one of two ways this post could go.  I could throw a pity party and talk about my problems and my struggles and possibly cry , or I could suck it up, put on my big girl panties and have some fun. Luckily for everyone involved I chose option two. Since I am feeling down in the dumps, I don't really wish to toot my own horn about losing weight and toning up, even though that does make me feel better about myself. I decided that I would let you guys (read ladies) in on some of my best kept secerts. My biggest best kept secret is this stuff for ELF (eyes lips and face) Studio.  It's Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter.  It is a whooping $3 and can be found online at ELF or at Target.  It is seriously the best stuff...like EVER.  I use the concealer under my eyes, (duh) and then put a dab of the highlighter there too.  Then, here's the kicker, I put the highl
